Pictures from Michele (sister of the bride)

On July 23, 2008 my 18 month old son Anthony and I, traveled to Italy for my sister Desiree, and brother in-law Orazio’s wedding. We had a four hour delay sitting on the runway, followed by a nine hour flight. Approximately 13 hours on the plane. Let’s just say I won’t be flying any time soon with Anthony. Once in Italy Anthony adjusted to his surroundings, and was a perfect angel the entire trip. Desiree and Orazio’s wedding was the most unbelievable experience. I think most of us that traveled from the US, would agreed with me, when I say, the wedding was the best part of the trip. It was an unforgettable day, you would never experience unless you came from a family and town with all of these wonderful traditions. My sister’s new extended family could not have been lovelier. They were all so friendly and kind, just like my brother in-law. After the wedding a group of us stopped in Naples, to visit my grandfather’s house. Our visit was short, although very touching. This was our GRANDFATHER’S home, our ancestry! Then off we went, Sorrento here we come! A number of use spent a few days in Sorrento. From Sorrento Anthony and I took day trips to Capri and Positano with my Sister Candy and her family. Everywhere we traveled in Italy was absolutely fabulous, the beauty and history of Italy is extraordinary.
Too my sister and new brother, I wish you a life time of happy moments and treasured memories. Never forget why you traveled to Italy in July 2008.

Love you both,
Your sister Michele
